The trail switch backs up the left side of the photo to Bishop Pass. 5 years ago I hiked to the top of the 12K high pass. I decided the time and energy required to hike up that final 700 ft elevation gain wasn't worth it a second time. So I stopped here for a snack before starting back. (No, I didn't take a nap.)
