Tried to teach john the first rule of hiking; you either hike or you stop to site see, you don't do both at the same time. At one time he walked right off the trail and fell in the snow while gazing up at the rocks. Didn't seem to get it even though I explained it so the second rule of hiking applies; you either learn the easy way or you learn the hard way. (Can't blame him though I have been known to trip and stumble site seeing while walking)
