Superstition mountains to the south. On my return from the arches I survived the mine field of rocks and cactus but was attacked by a bee. Not sure if it was really an attack but I got stung on the hand. First time I ever got stung by a bee. I remember thinking this is a heck of a place to find out if you are allergic to bees. I removed the stinger and it Only burned for a couple of minutes, wasn't that bad. I guess I'm not allergic.
