Pretty new sign is already wrong apparently. I went straight anyway and followed the old track. I also followed the Cal Topo Track to get back to Colonel Devin. I followed the Cal Topo Track along the General Crook Trail too. Never could find the Official Trail. I didn't have a GPS Track for it so I apparently wasn't looking in the right area.
