my Great Uncle Malcolm George "Georgie" Graves died Jan 12, 1945 at the age of 26, Battle of Luxembourg
He really had quite a tragic life as his mother died when he was 4 from a self-inflicted abortion. I think his mom was a bit of a floozy as she had been married 3 times by then in 1922. His dad, Malcolm, tried to commit murder-suicide when he was 7 (killing himself but not his new wife in 1925; she was shot in the stomach); I just recently got the full scoop on this from newspaper articles. Malcolm Sr was in the military at the time.
From what I've read Malcolm (Georgie) seemed a gentle soul in spite of this. He wrote quite a bit when he was in the service and my Grandma (my mom's mom) kept all of his correspondence. He was being raised by his grandparents.
