This is weird. Expensive solar powered automated gate like which is seen around valley trailheads. However, there is no ingress off of Carefree Highway to use it (thankfully). Behind it is a parking lot with signage for 50 cars. Seems they have big plans for this new trail. I would prefer it to be kept inaccessible by car. I'm a grinch.
