View across the drainage on the north side of the ridge we were following. Three of us would come down that steep rocky slope on the other side of the drainage on our return. Gunda said it would be an easier route down but I soon found out why there were patches on the seat of her pants. She negotiated the steep rocky slope by butt sliding much of the way, evidently a common practice for her. Drew and Lane took off on their own for the return and got lost for a short time before making it back to the car about 20 minutes after me.
