After I settled in to Phoenix in July of 2015 I came to live in what I would call, "my bubble". A fairly small region of Camelback East and uptown Phoenix where I lived, worked, and did 99% of my recreation, and only rarely did I stray from this small section unless I drove out of town on a highway. I loved it, actually. Once I moved to my house in September of 2018, I left my protective cocoon, and I soon came to realize that I didn't like it. My house is really nice. South Mountain, once I started to visit it, is also nice. However, Phoenix isn't a place I want to be long term. Sprawl and traffic, as well as pollution and heat, are at the top of the list.
