now we're on that cross trail off of the Garden Valley Trail, heading NW. At first I thot maybe it was a bypass trail for when the Garden Valley Trail was muddy but it has its mud-prone area as well. The trail takes you to the area just before the rock outcroppings and you can turn right to join up with Garden Valley Trail or left to try and find that stupid arch
