Now looking the opposite direction, from the manor out across the lake, with a nice view not only of the lake but the meadow and forest, and ocean beyond. If you look into the shadow area in the lower right, you can see the barren spot caused evidently by cyclers bounding down the hill or racing up. This photo was angled to hide the worst of the erosion. Note also the lone jogger on the path near the lake.
