This is Travelers Monument in the middle of soda dry lake. Everybody who drives the Mojave Road stops here and adds a rock to the pile. There is also a plaque in the center of the pile that reads... well actually only those that have traveled the road are allowed to know what it says. Go find out for yourself and when you do read it, make sure to reveal to no one, and I mean no one, what it says unless they too have traveled the road.
