The Michigan couple stayed on the high trail as did we; but it is not the main trail which you can see below. I'm not sure how we all missed that turn but we ran into them as they were re-tracing their steps back trying to find a safe way to get down to the lower trail.
And they give you a great sense of scale as to how small they are via the landscape.
