I carried a folding toilet seat to be used with wag bags (poo bags). I also carried the required fire pan. You have to have a way to bring your solid waste out of the canyon. You pee in the river, never on the ground (unless on a hike away from the river.) All this per Park Service Regulations. Also had to carry a standard rafting throw rope. Kayakers don't use those. Sigh...
