These are footings for an airway beacon that was once here. According to the NGS dataset, this particular beacon was 51 feet high and had a red course light that was 18 inches in diameter flashing the letter "U"(that's dot-dot-dash in Morse code). The main beacon light was was 24 inches in diameter and revolved 12 times per minute.
