Lower Verde River kayak trip from Bartlett Dam to Box Bar RAP. River was at 258. Fun trip at 258--water was moving at a decent rate, a few flat sections with wind, but not too much work and water depth was good all the way to Needle Rock.


This is a little 3'-4' fall at the beginning (best guess is about .5 to .75 miles in)


Along the river there's plenty of deep swimming holes, multiple 10'-18' cliff jumps and even a rope swing. Only recommendation is if you go during a weekend, take out at Needle Rock instead of BB. Between Needle Rock and BB you'll find nothing but shallow water, ORVs, drunk people and loud music.
