For the mining enthusiasts. I didn't have the motivation to go see the tunnel which although you can no longer go in is 1700' with a 300+ side tunnel both times they struck water. Two people died and the tunnels were dug in the 1890's. Accounts differ on why it was built. There is an easier way to visit from the toll road if you visit the Springs and are interested in this as a short historical hike.
