Curious cairn on top of a rock spire. A ladder would have been needed to place these rocks on top of the spire. It's difficult for me to believe that this cairn would have survived 700-800 years with out falling down. Was it put there by a prospector as a claim marker? But why go to all that risk and effort when a claim marker could be placed down on the ground? There were about a half dozen claim marker type cairns scattered around the periphery of this ruin.
