I actually took this in the afternoon, on my way back down. There were quite a few of these guys in this area, but they were not bloomed when I first went by in the morning. Though they are unlikely at this location, I believe this is a New Mexico Fanpetal ( https://wildflowersearch.org/search?old ... 21743.y=96 ).
