| no partners | | Well I had planned on hiking Shaw Butte and was on my way.
But North Mountain kept calling me and I answered.
This hike was really awesome for me. I have never done this hike the way I did today. It was harder than Shaw Butte but then again I never hit the road coming or going.
We just turned of the 100 trail and started going up.
This trail is full of loose rocks. I would never have put Rowdy on his leash going up this as it would really be a safety hazard.
Once we did reach the top I was told that the trail I came up on was closed because of safety issues oh well.
I did meet another guy up there and he told me the same thing. I did ask him if there was another way down with out taking the road. He said yes and pointed out another way down.
So we took it and going down this trail I was glad I had my new trekking pole that my wife bought for me. The trail also had a lot of loose rocks and was steep in areas.
It was really probably the best hike I have done in the city of Phoenix and the hardest.
I am bummed out a little as Shaw Butte was my original plan with that being said I decided not to bring my camera. |
