| no partners | | What a boring hike. I guess it all has to do with progress. It has been over a year since I have done this hike. The road has been close off and on during what they call progress. The trail is so overgrown in areas and sections I went on today that no one has been on in a very long time.
There is a new bridge that crosses the wash and really no guidance for the trail. So I followed some footprints only hoping these people weren't lost.
It is a major project that is from what I hear to connect Quail Creek Project to another area basically a shortcut. I am not really happy with what's going on here and may just move. This area was famous for its Pecan groves but last year they close down the pecan facility and are shipping the pecans to the east coast. I was also told that most of the pecan orchards are on leased land. So basically when their leases run out the orchards will be replaced with homes. |
