I was thinking of the Fat Man's Loop but with it being a weekend day and pretty windy I opted for this instead. I did my loop and then went over to the Elden grave, home site, and spring. The spring is flowing pretty well. I took a trail from the spring some distance east and came back on the Pipeline trail.

Just up at the base of Mount Elden near the old 1872 home site for the Elden Family. It is flowing heavily directly from a crack in the dacite. A small pipe captures it and feeds it to a small square metal tank, and then it flows out from that and down a drain before disappearing into the ground. The home site was built here because of the spring, so I think this may be perennial and not seasonal.

Out enjoying the mild January afternoon in the sunshine. Used to do this often when I went over to my friend's house and he took his dog Sienna for a walk in the area.
