A freeway among trails, but a good one. I've hiked this one a million times. This time I brought my backpacking stove up to Fremont Saddle, and cooked ramen noodles for lunch on a cold winter's day, enjoying the view of Weaver's Needle.

Backpacked with my dad into Reavis Ranch on day one. Day two we camped near Roger's Canyon cliff dwellings. Day three we hiked out. I definately like the southern route into Reavis Ranch better than the northern route.

Backpacked in here with some friends at the end of our junior year in high school. The bugs were just awful, I went insane. John threw a can of spray cheese into our campfire. The resulting explosion sent us all diving for cover; we thought someone had shot at us. After realizing what had caused the noise, John's throwing a can of spray cheese into the fire became a tradition on future Fossil Creek trips. (we always pack out the can) And I'll always remember Paul, who on this trip hauled in his food in paper grocery bags.

Long, hot, rocky, but great views. Tried to get to the upper end of Reavis Falls, but it got too overgrown.

One of my more favorite Superstition backpacks. Did the Bluff Spring Loop counter-clockwise, camped in upper Bluff Spring Canyon. There was alot of water, brittlebushes and hedgehogs in flower too.

Another great Picacho Peak hike, complete with Glenn's halucinations near the top. Camped in the campgrounds that night.

Hiked down from Massai Point up to Inspiration Point, then did the Heart Of Rocks loop. Turned around at Sarah Deming Canyon, and headed back. Another great Boy Scout memory.

A rainy Boy Scout backpacking trip, saw a seasonal waterfall just east of Miner's Needle. Camped upstream of Bluff Springs under a big sugar sumac tree. Great memories! :D

Did this hike in Boy Scouts. I remember it as being my coldest night camping ever. My Nalgene bottles inside my tent were frozen solid! We hiked up to one of the cliff dwellings. I've gotta get back there again.

Day 1: backpacked New Hance Trail down to Hance Rapids, spent the night. I learned to hang food from a tree after a ringtail cat lept out of my pack at me. Day 2: Woke up to rain and a faceful of sand, took Tonto Trail west to Hance Creek, spent the night. Day 3: Hiked up past Miner's Spring, and out on the Grandview Trail.

My first backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon, with uncle Jon. Backpacked down to Horseshoe Mesa, explored the mine and the cave. Spent the night under an improvised pancho shelter, hiked out the next day. One of my best memories! :D
