| no partners | | I had been wanting to get back to Sibley for a while now, and apparently many other people had the same idea. I hadn't been here for 9 years, but it hasn't changed a bit. This area was obviously heavily grazed recently, and I wouldn't be surprised if cattle are rotated through this area on weekdays.
My original plan was to get all the way to Redwood Regional Park, but my right knee and left calf weren't having it. It was pretty cold (high 40s and low 50s) with a lot of wind, I only needed my gloves at the beginning. I remembered a trick for hiking with a beanie: reverse it every half hour to keep it dry. Perfect. |
