Perfect day for a hike. First two miles on the Metate and Spur Cross were scenic with water on the crossings but not so much where you have to get wet. Once on the Cottonwood Creek, remembered the roller coaster but forgot how rocky this trail was, which made for slow going. Skull Mesa was steep, very rocky and overgrown. Once up top was going to have a lunch but was harassed by bees. On the way down got hit with rain showers which ceased by the Cottonwood intersection did not chase me the rest of the way. Nice hike overall and will do it again

Started up the Ranger to the National and dropped down on the unmarked Lost Ranch Mine Trail. Then climbed the Pyramid to National and back down the Ranger. Toughest part was going down the Lost Mine(steep, rocky and fairly narrow.) Quads did not burn climbing Ranger or Pyramid but it did coming down this one. 3 female joggers coming down Ranger at the start and about 6 others on Pyramid, other than that had the trail to myself

From the Go John trailhead took the Slate trail to the Quartz connecting into Go John then completed the loop. Only saw a couple of people(Slate Quartz portion) Then 3 companies of horses on Go John that left quite a mess. Otherwise very nice scenery, flowers a plenty. Well maintained moderate-easy trail.

Ranger/National/Road/Bajada/Ranger. Looking for an Alternative to Alta and wanted to see where some of the other newer trail connected into the National. Only Bursea was marked with a sign the others were not but was obvious and appeared to be in good condition at least toward the top. Nobody out on National West, still very rocky and the Bajada trail past the gates is about as bad as before the gates then connecting back into the Ranger.

Did Quail/Saddle/Baseline/Rainbow and back on Quail. Quick after weights cardio. Almost breathed with my mouth open going up the Saddle. Maybe slightly tougher this way?

Was looking for a short one that I have not done. Took the Quail which ended at the Rainbow Valley trail. Took a left and another left on the Baseline. Followed the Baseline to the top of the ridge then left on the Saddle and Right On Quail. Easy hike with a few hills and is similar in difficulty to the Baseline

Was in the area had a couple hours but felt too lazy to work for it. Mule Deer/South/Goat/Bajada/ Mule was the answer. No major pushes very easy to follow. Difficulty similar to what you would find at Estrella RP

Trying to get back into hiking more regularly. Very dry in Ford Canyon. It appears they did some trail work on Willow Springs trail just after it intersects with Mesquite(much less rocky) From Ford intersection to Willow Spring spur trail no improvement

Did the Tech route. Lots of little ups and downs fairly gravely trail. Good views of the Northern Estrellas. About as difficult as most of the trails at EMRP but a nice alternative.

Did the Full Rainbow Valley and back on the Toothacher. Some changes. From the trailhead you can go straight on the Rainbow or go left or right on the Toothacher(going right appears to connect into the Baseline).Workers on the trail. Going up the first hill of the Rainbow, I took the old way, the new way avoids the highest point of the first hill but goes down and around it offering another connection to the Baseline. Past the second hill the trail appears as it has been

Started at the Bajada. Planned to hike Goat Camp/ Mesquite/ Mule Deer. Once on top of the ridge at Goat Camp just passed the 3 mile marker, I realized that I was facing 10+ miles of almost no AEG and Barry was calling. Took the wash to the road. You connect to the road at a lower elevation than the other spur trail. The road is not Thompson Peak but was glad to be done.

Went up Ford Canyon, decided to skip Willow and Followed Mesquite back down. Not much water at the usual spots. More people than usual for a weekday, weather was great. New signs about fines for off trail hiking
