| no partners | | I started at the Larson Ridge trailhead and followed 236 all the way to Chevelon Canyon. 236 is closed to motor vehicles, except for administration purposes. They're currently thinning the forest, so there were workers' vehicles along the road.
There are three geocaches on the edge of Chevelon Canyon. That was my reason for heading out this way today. This would have been better by bicycle, but mine's out of service, so I walked instead. It ended up getting fairly wet, so in the end, I think walking worked out better.
On my way out, there was a rain shower. I got out my umbrella, and rain skirt, and my pack cover. The road got a bit muddy, but it was never a problem. After a while, the rain stopped so I put my rain gear away. The rain started again when I was at the second cache and mostly continued until I made it back to my truck. It was lighter, so I only used the pack cover and umbrella. |
