We had great weather for this hike today. Saw a lot of the damage left behind from the Wallow Fire we had earlier this year. There were areas that were a total loss and others that were spared from the horrible fire. The trail was hard to follow in some areas due to the overgrowth from not alot of foot traffic this year.

We started this hike at the Horse Trap TH located along Hwy 260. We followed the trail for a ways but a one point there was a fork in the trail and we opt for the one that went toward the lake. At times it was difficult to find a path and I think we were on game trails sometimes. It was an easy hike and the lake was beautiful. It was our first time to this lake and it seems to be very popular and busy.

Beautiful place. It was alittle warm out today. Recommend if you do this hike down to the bottom that you start early in the day.

This trail is open to hikers only. Trail begins at the gondola station St. Sophia and drops about 1000 feet to the Station in Mountain Village. It is a beautiful trail and the day we took it we didn't see anyone else until we reached the end. This trail switchbacks throughout the aspen forest. There are a couple benches along the way to sit and take in the vally veiws.

What a great small town with plenty to do and see. Hiking, fishing, shopping, eating, camping, mountain biking and the list goes on. When we weren't walking the town we were checking out some of their hiking trails. We stayed at the Inn at Lost Creek in Mountain Village (great place to stay) and took the gondola into town. The gondola is free and runs from 7:00am to midnight daily. If you ever make it to Telluride you need to check out Brown Dog Pizza for lunch or dinner.

Great hike that when at the top overlooks the town of Telluride. Great views. We started out our hike on Tomboy street. There is no parking at the trailhead. You need to park along one of the town streets. We were able to find a spot along the dirt road leading up to the trailhead. Bring your insect repellant, lots of bugs.

Great hike to beautiful falls. There is parking at the trailhead. Start of trail is located at the east end of Hwy 145 where the asphalt ends. Hikers continue to walk up the dirt road that is very rocky about 1.4 miles to the bottom of the falls. Bridal Veil Falls drops 365 feet and is the tallest free-falling waterfall in Colorado.

Started the hike at Woodland Lake in Pinetop, AZ. Took the Turkey Track trail about 1/2 mile and made a left turn at the sign for Walnut creek. Easy beautiful hike for the family.

We parked at the end of Pineview street and walked down to Billy Creek. The creek is dry and in desparate need of monsoon rains. We crossed over the dry creek bed and up to Blue Ridge trail 107. We hiked along this trail for a mile or so before turning around and retracing our steps to our starting point.

Great lake on the outskirts of Show Low. You can camp or use the day areas. Fishing is good and there is an easy trail to hike around the lake. Fun for the whole family. With the forests in this area closed due to the extreme fire dangers, this is a great alternative.
