Headed for Jacks after work and had just enough daylight to get two sends in. Warmed up with Mickey then moved over to Winner Takes All. Returned for Sports Book on Saturday.

Started the morning out by driving through Mexico City which is a trip in and of itself. Once I was on foot, I had some trouble finding the correct trail. Luckily it only cost me 20 minutes. Once above treeline, I was hounded by strong, unrelenting winds. I had some amazing views from the peak and headed back just in time to beat 2 large groups of hikers.

My second time climbing in this area. 2/3 of us made it up Sphinctre Boy. It gave me a run for my money but I remained persistent and got the send once again. :y:
Afterwards, we headed over to Dog Gone It. All 3 of us were able to finish this route. Headed back to the car on a good note.
Beautiful day to be out, despite the horrendous air quality in the Valley.

Spent the day exploring the different crags in the area and finished up with Sphinctre Boy. Daylight was fading fast so I climbed with urgency. It turned out to be a good lesson in trusting my feet rather than hesitating. Felt awesome to top out on my first 5.9. :)

Started with Dead Pool, followed by Close Call, and finished up with Sappy Love Song. Some tough moves shut me down about 40-50ft into Close Call. Dead Pool and Sappy Love Song were awesome - pumpy and fun!

Nice to finally see this trail. I hiked this ridge a few years ago and it was much easier this time around. Finished by hiking to Watson Overlook for some extra AEG.

Packed out some Christmas lights that were left on a tree. Can't wait for that trend to end.

Participated in an event put together by CASA and the Access Fund. Our group rerouted a section of trail leading to the climbing area. I got a ride in from the highway but hiked out at the end of the day. No climbing for me on this day since I've been out for a couple weeks. Can't wait to return to this beautiful area.
