This trail has gradual elevation change with almost no steps. Dogs, horses and mountain bikes allowed.

Trail begins at the north end of the parking lot, ascends along the lake, then turns left around the corner and shortly reaches a cul-de-sac of an old forest road. On your left you'll see one yellow marker, that's the place to turn right and follow the road. In 0.4 mi there will be an intersection with a wider forest road, turn right and follow this road and in 200 yards you'll see the "Grays Peak Trail" sign on your left. Follow the trail from here, there's 2.3 mi to peak from this sign and the trail is very distinct.

There are some openings along the trail and a lookout mostly at the top from where you can see Big Bear lake, but a view of the closer side of the lake is obstructed by trees. This peak ain't no baldy :)
