Holy smokes this one took it out of me. Got a late start (11:30am) figuring I could wrap this up in 6 hours. Uh...no. This was a stunningly beautiful hike starting right out of Telluride. Like every other CO hike, the trail "wastes no time gaining elevation" and brought me through beautiful aspen forests, meadows, and basins with plenty of solitude. Cresting the final ridge outside of Mill Basin was questionable, but I survived for a dusk arrival to the car followed by some of the best pizza I've had at Brown Dog!

Very nice loop up Jud Wiebe then counter-clockwise on S-H up through Pack Basin and down Mill Creek basin, then return on Deep Creek #418. Parking near the trailhead is very restricted, there are some free lots on the west end of town and a free shuttle.
