Recurrent finished time to burn before the flight. Super muddy after yesterdays t-storms. I settled with this after attempting to go to a lake that turned out to be a crummy fake lake in an upscale neighborhood. Definitely not 4 miles as published on the internet either.
Don't do this one with out bug spray. Didn't see much wildlife so I decided to stop by Cypress Lake on the way back to the hotel. Couple turtles, alligators, and a really strange fish. I'm ready to be home after 17 days.
Decided to get out of the hotel for a couple hours for study break. Hike with a boardwalk through swamp and canal area. 94 degrees and about the same humidity. The canopy was so thick that even with a couple minutes of heavy rain I didn't get more than a couple of drops. Of course it didn't matter since I was soaked through from the humidity. Evidently, not too many people hike down here despite the well maintained trail because I walked through several invisible spider webs as I explored side trails. Stopped by Cypress Lake Alligator Habitat on the way back and took a stroll around the lake. I've worked hear over two years and have seen sharks, sea turtles, dolphins and whales, but no alligators so I thought it was about time. Good times Back to Studying.
