A morning stroll while camping with Grace and Jordan. Had to go solo on the hike. Then came back and whipped up some bacon and eggs for the girls. Good Times.
A weekend of car camping w/ Tim's family. A bit rainy all weekend, but we put up a tarp and played games into the wee hours. Hiked to the sinkhole on Saturday, and then got flood alerts on Sunday, so packed up earlier than expected and headed back to the valley.
Grace,Gracemarie and I were camping at Canyon Point so this was my daily hike.Gracemarie joined me on this one before dinner and Smores. 2.2 from camp.
Was very dry in June. Have visited here 15+ years ago and the sink hole was much more lush and canopied then. Explored another sink hole just to the west, then hiked to the rim.
The family took a camping trip on the trip @ Canyon Point. Over the course of three days we hiked to the Sinkhole (twice) and the rim via the "Back Alley" which is an old jeep road. Nate led us on numerous side trips on foot paths and wanderings throughout the forest.
The first night's low was 40 and the second night was 44.
