Really fun trip with a group of Summits on the Air guys. The jeep road leading to the starting point was fun. It's overlooking some sort of camp that has a helicopter landing there and moving cargo back and forth over the horizon.
Another great activation with the Superstition Amateur Radio Club

This was a great one to do on a nice day, I got a late start today due to some things that came up from the weather last night regarding my business and as a result I did not feel like driving up north to hit any peaks.
I decided instead to hit one closer to the valley. The drive to the peak was nice in different places along the drive to the peak I saw several places where washes were still running and others that must have been quite impressive last night.
Arriving at the base of Blackjack Point at around noon the temps were not to bad. I made quick work of the road and the off trail to the summit. I do have to say that the views from this area are fantastic and worth the drive. The haze did cut into the view a little but it was still awesome.
On top I put Blackjack Point W7A/AW-039 on the air. I made several contacts all over the USA.

On the way back from The Island I went up Blackjack point.
