Fast Christmas Day walk, near a family member's home, netted me 7 avocados along the road. These had fallen off the trees, outside the fences. I figure fallen avocados in the roadway are fair game for poaching. Christmas in San Diego, with its flowers, green grass, and general greenery everywhere, is normal for me. I grew up here, 4th generation Californian. So, I am not "missing the white Christmas" and I'm not "amazed" by the mild weather, etc.

Neighborhood walk through the avocado groves. Very hilly, with a view of Palomar Mountain across Pauma Valley. There are also oranges, lemons and persimmons. Came home with a few in my pockets. Techies please note, photos are from last year! I'll probably post this walk often, but probably will hide it in future. Just wanted to show you where I'm living.

This is going to be my regular neighborhood walk, although I will probably go further when I have the time. Avocado groves, orange groves, views to the ocean, beautiful view of Palomar Mountain and Pauma Valley.
