AKA Community Caves or Bobcat Cave (Cavern). Its been a very wet year in the Black Hills, so water was flowing. The initial creek crossing had a strong current and a stream coming down the chute making for treacherous climb up talus, scree and mud. The good, a waterfall over the cavern. No one else around made for a great trip, fantastic views of Spearfish Canyon.
As a side note from the trail head on the west side of the road a short path leads to a rock climbing area known as Skeletal Remains.
