This was our first hike on our yearly Colorado trip. With a late spring, there where still a lot of snow and very little wild flowers. There where still great views from the top. We did stumbled onto a birds nest on the trail. Miss Ellie was trying to protect the chicks from their own mother. We also saw a coyote near the truck as we came down the mountain. Great little hike.

The pup and I enjoyed a beautiful hike up to Crystal Lake. We hike around the lake, then rested in a grassy area. The hike is relatively easy, even with all the talus.

I took Ophir Pass to get over to Telluride. At the top, the pup and I did a little exploring. We hiked the short trail to Crystal lake. We then headed to Telluride to have a lunch.

Great trip with my friend Paul to camp, hike, and explore in the San Juan Mountains. Base camp was up near Lizard Head Pass. We enjoyed time in Telluride, as well as checking out old mining camps, high mountain roads, and a drive to Ouray and Ridgeway. Can't go wrong in this area! :D
