quiet urban walkabout by Unregistered This is a nice little area between some housing tracks and an industrial area. The area is pretty flat throughout with a bunch of open holes where I'm guessing they mined quartz. The hike is nice and easy with a small ridgeline that overlooks a wide area of the desert with views. To the west of this ridgeline is a small hill with an open mine on its east side. There is little vegetation in the summer and lots of pieces of quartz and other things.
The trail is easy to follow if you upload to Route Scout. I mention this because there are many trails going all over the place. If you feel like hitting them all you might find some very interesting things out there.
