Hi,
I intend to hike the AZT S>N in its entirety for the first time this year. Considering the El Nino increased rain/snow amounts recently in the higher elevations of AZ, what do you recommend as the ideal start time for this Spring from the Mexico Border? Perhaps late-March instead of mid-March? Or...? Thanks in advance for any wisdom you can share.

Probably best to play it safe and start at the recommended time in the guidebook. We had a lot of moisture at the beginning of January but it's been sunny since. Maybe it'll rain all February, who knows. If I had to plan months ahead of time I'd go with the safe option.

I'm still shooting for the first week of March. Seems like a lot of other people are starting early-mid March.
