Description: Crushers were mechanical means of breaking down raw ore into transportable bits at the mine, or the first stage of processing at a mill. In the earliest days of mining in the southwest, these were powered by mules or horses. They later became steam powered. Crushers that are in use today are usually hydraulic-diesel units that can pulverize rock faster than you can blink. |
