I've been wanting to check out Rattlesnake Canyon for a couple of years and the bonus was finding this fort on an outcropping into the canyon. This is the fourth single wall fort we've found. The first at Lousy Canyon on Perry Mesa http://hikearizona.com/photo=308223 The second on the Rim overlooking Pine Cyn. http://hikearizona.com/photo=191701 and the third on the north end of Perry Mesa http://hikearizona.com/photo=402676 .I've been intrigued that the single wall is opposite of the windy side of it's site. I would have thought that it would be on the canyon side. There seems to have been an extensive amount of a ramada, so much so that they all needed vent holes. I would love to know what they looked like.
