I was able to follow cow-paths for most of the way up so it was pretty easy as well.
Great views again, and yes, even better than Peak 5562, my first summit of the day. I saw two motorcyclists driving along the road below on what appeared to be motorcycles geared to long-distances over rough roads. I also saw a rancher with an ATV who appeared to be checking on the water tanks in the area.
On the descent a bright flash on the ground caught my eye so I went over to investigate. Only a small bit was showing so I dug around a bit and came up with a Rusty Wallace 2 medallion and a car key on a 'PIMPROLL' lanyard. (I'm not a NASCAR fan but I was aware who Rusty Wallace is)
Ok, done with summit #2, what's next? Again, due to the closed Forest Road earlier I had to adjust my plans significantly. I'll do a bit of driving as well as a short aborted hike while attempting to make the next adjustment.
(See the Stone Cabin Mountain triplog for the rest of the story)
