| no partners | | | I have hiked this several times the past year. Today we encountered an angry group of bees just past the memorial plaque (on left) as you begin your climb. My partner and I were stung several times. On the way down we noticed they were swarming only a few feet off the trail. On the way up we had too many bees about our heads to notice where they were centralized. It appeared that others had encountered the same hive and left in a hurry. A child size shirt with a transformers logo on the front and a home made medical kit were strewn about the trail 25 yards below the hive/swarm. If you are allergic to bees, be careful on this trail. Otherwise the hike was awesome as usual. |
