If you don't have a lot of time, this is a good canyon. 300 ft rappel off a big boulder on RDC. I tossed the 300 ft rope and then proceeded to have to do a lot of rope management on the way down. It was great practice of many of the skills in my toolbox including locking off, ascending a bit to give myself slack in order to untie a knot that happened to occur because of all the pigtails (think of the old telephone cords) that occurred in the rope. The group thought the worse when it took me forever to finally get off rope. Everyone else had a nice rappel down a beautiful set of almost dry pools :) Getting back to Fish Creek was a bit pokey. There were 6 on the team. Great way to start a new year!
