After setting up a car shuttle, we drove up Echo Canyon and took a look at the Eye of the Needle. From there we continued to Inyo Mine where gold was discovered in 1904. We explored all the buildings and tunnels. Then we hiked cross country 8 miles into Slit Canyon and explored it's beautiful narrows and grottos all the way to Hole-in-the-Wall. For fun a few of us rappeled the longer falls. I nearly had to cut off some of my hair because I forgot to tie it back and it got caught in my rappel device!!! It was really cool to be hiking out as the sun was setting to see the Hole-in-the Wall with the low light!
