once again Ive found myself introduced to Arizona's finest (and I say this with supreme sarcasm)
On the trail, we hear gunshots (from a .22?) and I think to myself "it must be someone who knows and respects firearm discharge laws... these fools cant be shooting from the ROAD into the forest, can they?"
apparently these finest of AZ citizens dont feel it necessary to shoot at a target, in a safe environment. They seem to be shooting from the road (STATE LAW: must be 1/4 mile from road, building, dwelling, etc...)
so Im with my wife and baby on the Barbershop trail and I hear 2 bullets whiz by us. One cut through the nearby trees around 20 feet off the ground. I hear another ricochet off a tree, a little too close so I yelled that we were hiking, and from the sound of his voice he was within 50 yards. They stop shooting. 20 minutes later, the shooting resumes.
GET OUT OF MY STATE DUMBASS

other than that the hike was pleasant, kept short for my boy's first trip and it wont be his last!
