This is one of several ways to reach Jefferson Park in the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness. The trail climbs above the South Breitenbush River through Douglas-Fir, Western Hemlock along with stands of Western White Pine. The trail crosses several small creeks within the first 1.5 miles and beyond that gets very rough in sections as it climbs to several small meadows with alpine flowers and seasonal ponds. Once in Jefferson Park, the trail intersects with the Pacific Crest Trail.
When hiking several trails on a single "hike", log it with a generic name that describes the hike. Then link the trails traveled, check out the example.
