The trail enters the Three Sisters Wilderness shortly after leaving the trailhead. Wilderness Permits are required for both day use and overnight stays from Memorial Day Weekend until Oct. 31. Free permits are self-issued at the trailhead.

A valid Recreation Pass is required at Devils Lake-South Sister trailhead May 1st - September 30th.

Check out the Official Route and Triplogs.
