The Trout Creek Canyon trail is 3.0 miles in length. It begins near Vigilante Campground and ends at Forest Service Road #138. Although the trail is open to mountain bikes and stock it is managed primarily for hiking.
When hiking several trails on a single "hike", log it with a generic name that describes the hike. Then link the trails traveled, check out the example.

Directions
Road
To hike Located approximately 24 miles northeast of Helena in the Big Belt Mountains. Follow Highway 280 east of Helena about 16 miles to the small community of York. Proceed northeast along Trout Creek another 8 miles to the end of the road and the campground. Trailhead is located in the Campground.
Parking at the trailhead is limited, please do not block the turnaround.
