This is a special one-night-only campground designed for backpackers on the night before embarking on their backpack trip. 10 Single campsites. It is a walk-in campground (short distance). Single-night use only. Active bear area, bear boxes are provided and must be used (typical bear box size 48" x 30" x 36").

    To car camp trip
    Mosquito Flat is at the end of Rock Creek Road.

    Exit Highway 395 at Tom's Place (approximately 13 miles south of Mammoth Lakes, 30 miles north of Bishop). Follow Rock Creek Road (FS 12) to the end, about 10 miles. This road is closed in winter.
