This strenuous 5 mile trail climbs from a trailhead elevation of 4920 ft. to 7000 ft.. The trail intersects the Pacific Crest Trail north of Spitler Peak along the Desert Divide. Hiking may be warm during the summer as the trail travels through chaparral up to oaks and pines.

    This is a more difficult hike. It would be unwise to attempt this without prior experience hiking.
