Overview
Venable Trail #1347 is a 4.8 mile one way hike with 3,748 feet elevation gain. Located 53 miles west-southwest of Pueblo Colorado. July and August are the best months to enjoy this hike.


The trail goes north from the trailhead and provides access to Venable Falls, Venable Lakes and the Phantom Terrace that connects with the Comanche Trail. The trail is 5.9 miles. The trail is moderate for hiking.

    To hike
    Take Highway 69 south from Westcliffe to County Road 140 (Schoolfield Lane). Turn right on CR 140 and follow it to the Comanche / Venable Trailhead.
